From October 2023, Allisone is committed to education with its learning version Allisone Academy (AA). For almost a year and a half, the faculties of Lyon, Toulouse and Bordeaux have been working with the Allisone team to design, test and improve this solution, in order to create the ideal product for dynamic, digital and asynchronous learning of radio reading. In the process, the Allisone teams were able to meet over fifty deans and members of teaching teams, both in France and around the world, to fully understand the difficulties encountered and find software solutions to remedy them.
Allisone Academy, how does it work?
The theoretical approach:
Allisone Academy is first and foremost a theoretical approach to learning how to read X-rays and design treatment plans. The student interface features 3 levels of difficulty, with 300 radiographs to annotate. Depending on the student's level, he or she is free to choose which exercises to perform. Once the exercise has been selected, the student moves on to the annotation phase. Using two annotation tools, students can select the various elements on the radio and characterize them according to a list of predefined elements. During this characterization phase, students can also enter their level of confidence in the annotation to help the teacher personalize his or her teaching.
In fact, teacher access gives access to a dashboard that provides information on students' results, enabling them to quickly identify gaps in their various classes, so that they can be addressed in DE. AA is not intended to replace radiology courses, but to enhance learning opportunities by personalizing teaching.

Once the annotation is complete, the students can get down to the business of designing the treatment plan. Indeed, the university teams have largely shared with the Allisone team a gap around the overall design of the patient due to learning by specialty. Although this phase does not lead to any corrections, it does enable the student to reflect on the different phases and priorities in the design of a complete treatment plan. This part of the exercise will be completed during the first semester, in partnership with the first universities to use AA, with clinical information and other elements such as intra-oral, retro-alveolar photos and clinical information.
Once the exercise is complete, AA will suggest that the student correct the radio annotation using artificial intelligence. Thanks to the color codes and captions, the student will be able to identify the missing or wrong elements to progress and understand how to identify them.

Today, this digital and interactive tool largely corresponds to the expectations of today's students, born into a world that is already all digital. A tool like Allisone Academy is in line with history, since during meetings with teaching teams, Allisone teams noted that universities were already implementing many new participative and interactive tools for students.

The clinical approach:
Allisone Academy is also (soon to be) a clinical approach. Indeed, AA includes a mode that students can use in the clinic directly with their patients. In the same way as Allisone for practitioners, students will be able to enter their X-rays directly into AA and create treatment plans to share with their teachers securely and asynchronously. This clinical module will enable the supervisor to centralize all patient files and consult the students' proposals from his or her own computer, before carrying out the clinical verification. Of course, since we're still in a learning mode, the artificial intelligence is removed from the student module, so that students can propose their own unbiased reading.
AA provides a digital solution to replace power-points of treatment plans shared by e-mail or loose sheets of paper, while enabling students to familiarize themselves with the tools of their future practice.

Allisone Academy operates on a university-wide licensing model. All students are given an account to access the platform. A sequence of onboarding videos is provided to help students master the tool in its entirety and get the most out of it.

Developments for 2023-2024 for Allisone Academy
LikeAllisone for practitioners, AA is constantly evolving, and partner universities will benefit from this in real time. Major developments are already planned for 2023-2024:
- The integration of complete clinical cases for the treatment plan: with the universities joining Allisone Academy at the start of the 2023 academic year, we are collaborating on the creation of complete clinical cases including complementary examinations, clinical and economic information as well as intra-oral photos in order to make the design of the treatment plan much more concrete and real.
- Retro-cavity : while retro-cavity will soon be available in Allisone for professionals, it will also be part of the AA evolutions scheduled for the second half of the year.
- An exam space: For the second semester, AA will enable teachers to integrate radios to carry out exams and continuous assessments directly on the platform, and allow students to open the test at the appropriate time to complete their work on computer or tablet.
